The URO asked student researchers what software they used to create their posters. Their answers are below. If you know of or use a program not on this list, let us know so we can add it here. If you need access to any of the following, check with computer labs around campus to see if they have specific programs.
- Microsoft PowerPoint (Many students tell us that they like to print off PowerPoint slides and affix them to a poster.)
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- R (free software for statistical computing and graphics: www.r-project.org)
Basic PowerPoint templates can be found at http://www.posterpresentations.com/html/free_poster_templates.html. Check with your adviser or lab for other possible options. You can always make your own template, too!
