Sidney Pressey Small Grants
Designed to assist students who are candidates for graduation with distinction and who have specific research needs not covered by any other assistance.

OSU Newark Student Research Grants
Funds are available for students of all undergraduate majors and can be utilized for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to; research, creative work, and professional development.

The Ohio State Chapter of Sigma Xi Student Research Grants (Sciences only)
Undergraduate students (with rank of sophomore or higher) for grants-in-aid of scientific research.
Award: up to $300 Deadline: November 23, 2009

Undergraduate Research Awards from the SOLAR fund
Undergraduate students pursuing research in the fields of Epidemiology; Virology; HIV and AIDS education; and, other infections of the blood and related subjects.
Award: two $1,000 awards Deadline: December 1, 2009 

Undergraduate Student Government Enrichment Grants
Funds are available for students of all undergraduate majors and can be utilized for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to, research, creative work, and professional development.  Some examples of fundable expenses are travel, media and technology support, and materials and supplies.
Award: up to $500 Deadline: Tuesday, January 30, 2009

International Affairs Grant
The purpose of the Office of International Affairs student grant competition is to promote the understanding of foreign countries, cultures, and peoples through academic study. Proposals for research can request funds for expenses such as travel, acquiring data, and hosting a conference or workshop. URO Summer Research Fellowships
Get paid to conduct 10 weeks of full-time, independent research in any discipline with an OSU faculty member.

Summer Honors Research Scholarships
Research Sholarships give especially promising honors sophomores and juniors the opportunity to enhance the quality of their senior Honors Research Projects. Selected students spend approximately 40 hours/week doing research over a ten-week period.  Must be enrolled for at least 1 credit hour; ~10 internships awarded per summer.  Deadline: March 20, 2009

Research on Research: Student-Faculty ePartnerships at OSU
In this program, full-time, undergraduate students will be supported by TELR to collaborate with a faculty member or members during summer quarter 2008 to develop a multimedia research portfolio documenting research.

Phi Kappa Phi Undergraduate Enrichment Award
An award for students who: 1) have at least junior standing at the time of application; 2) have at least a 3.70 grade-point average at the end of Autumn Quarter; and 3) plan to enroll at The Ohio State University in the academic year following the announcement of the award. It is not necessary to be a member of Phi Kappa Phi to receive this award. PKP also sponsors First Year Awards and Emerging Scholars Awards.

Arts and Sciences: Undergraduate Research Scholarship
Students must have attained junior standing and meet one of the following criteria: be a potential candidate for graduation with distinction, or present other evidence of work on a significant research project.
Award: $500 to approximately $8,000(applied toward university fees)

International Matching Travel Grants 
Awards are restricted to international travel for invited research presentations, performances or exhibitions at significant professional meetings or events, or for travel to and from study-abroad or residency programs. Biological Sciences
Dean's Undergraduate Research Fund
Funds purchase of research materials (chemicals, glassware), services, and other expenses directly related to the conduct of the proposed research. No salary, stipends, or shared equipment are allowed.

Stone Laboratory Scholarships and REU
Fund summer classes and student research at the Stone Laboratory on Gibraltar Island in biological sciences related to limnology, herpetology, fisheries as well as other related disciplines.
REU scholarships cover tuition for eight credit hours in one summer term, room and board, and the associated lab fee.
Scholarship Awards $100 up to $1300      REU and Scholarships Deadline: February 11, 2009 and March 17, 2009 respectively

The Mayers Scholarships

Huntington International Fellowships (foreign languages/business)
The program is intended to permit humanities students with interest and supporting work in international business and trade to spend an extended time abroad to enhance their fluency in the foreign language, their knowledge of the foreign culture, and their understanding of the workings and environment of international commerce.

Research Scholarships           
Students may apply for special scholarships in support of a Degree With Distinction (senior thesis) project. Dr. Rudy Melfi Research Fellowship in Dentristy
Student must be available full-time during the summer. Five Successful candidates (“Fellows”) will be assigned to a research mentor for their summer fellowship.

Pharmacy
Undergraduate Research Scholarship
Priority will be given to students enrolled in the College of Pharmacy who plan to be a candidate for graduation with distinction or plan to complete an equivalent research project, and have reached senior standing or the equivalent at the time of the award. Students enrolled in other Colleges where undergraduate research scholarships are available will not be considered. 
Award: $1,000-$2,000
